Applying to St. Mary's Academy

Welcome to St. Mary's Academy!

St. Mary's Academy is an all-girls, college preparatory high school that shapes women of distinction who are committed to lifelong learning and service. As you learn more about us, we hope you can see and feel that you belong here. Our school provides an environment in which each young woman can find her voice, develop her talents, and pursue her educational goals with determination - preparing her for college and beyond. We invite you to explore St. Mary's and our long and rich history of academic excellence, sisterhood, and service to the "dear neighbor."

The Priority Admissions Application for the 2024-2025 school year is now available!  Also, we are still accepting applications for midyear transfer students for the 2023-2024 school year.

Below, you'll find a step-by-step guide of our admissions process.

Prospective families are encouraged to submit an Admissions Inquiry. The inquiry helps our Admissions Office learn more about your prospective student, schedule campus visits, and inform you of other engaging opportunities at St. Mary's Academy.

Visiting our campus is an important part of your admissions journey. Join us for a campus tour, shadow day, Open House, and more! Click here to learn more about the many opportunities to visit our campus.

Our Priority Admissions Application for the 2023-2024 school year is now available.

The Priority Admissions Application Deadline is January 12, 2024. All prospective students are required to fill out an Application for Admission.

There is a $75 non-refundable application fee due at the time of submission for all applications.

Once an application is submitted, interested families may apply for financial aid through our FACTS portal.

Freshman and Transfer applicants must submit three recommendations: one each from the student's current English and Math teachers, and the student's Principal or Counselor. Please login to your application portal to send the recommendation requests to the teachers and Principal/Counselor directly.

Once the teachers and Principal/Counselor have completed and submitted the recommendations, they will be sent directly to our Admission Office. Your applicant checklist will then be updated to show that the recommendations were received.

Transcripts provide our Admissions Office with a means of evaluating your student's academic progress at their previous school(s). Please note, transcripts are just one part of our review of an applicant.

Freshman Applicants: 6th, 7th & 8th grade transcripts are required to complete your application.

Transfer Applicants: All high school transcripts are required to complete your application.

After creating a SchoolAdmin account and submitting an admissions application, use the Request Transcripts checklist item(s) to request your transcripts from your previous school(s).

The High School Placement Test (HSPT) is required for all applicants. We will offer this test in-person, on campus, on January 20, 2024. Please note, it is not mandatory to take the HSPT at St. Mary's Academy.

The student/parent interview provides our Admissions Office with the opportunity to get to know prospective students and their parents.

We require all students and parent(s)/guardian(s) to interview with a member of the Admissions Office as part of the admissions process. We encourage all families to schedule their interviews as soon as possible, as spaces are limited.

Once a prospective student has completed steps 1-7 above, their application will be reviewed by our Admissions Review Committee. When completed by our Priority Application Deadline, students will receive notification of their admissions decision on March 1, 2024. When completed after our Priority Application Deadline, students will receive notification on a rolling basis.
